Zaheerabad is named after nawab called Zaheer Yar Jung Bahadur elder son of Nawab Moin ud Doula Bahadur of Amir of the Asman Jahi Paigah. Zaheerbad and rear by areas were Jagir of Zaheer Yar Jung Bahadur at the time of Nizam government.It was previously called as PedhaEkkhelli. Zaheerabad is 108 km from Hyderabad by bus and 133 km by Train. Zaheerabad is one of the largest business town in Medak district.
